About the Opportunity Job Summary: The Assistant Director, Wellness & Student Support at the Office of Prevention and Education at Northeastern (OPEN) will be a member of a collaborative team responsible for prevention, education, training, and support related to alcohol and other drugs, sexual violence, sexual health and wellness for the Northeastern University student community. The role includes supporting students and assisting in implementing comprehensive, research-driven, socio-culturally relevant, and in-depth prevention programming to create long-lasting change for the Northeastern community. Responsibilities include: Brief Intervention and Support Services Provide alcohol and other drug assessment and brief intervention services utilizing BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students)/ Motivational Interviewing. Facilitate OPEN’s psychoeducational alcohol groups for students who have been mandated due to alcohol policy violations. Provide trauma-informed case management and advocacy services for students affected by sexual violence, including serving as an advisor for students pursuing university processes as requested.
