Product Test Technician III

Job description

ICON is seeking a Product Test Technician III to lead the operation, integration, and troubleshooting of complex test systems. This role involves building and maintaining test infrastructure, fabricating advanced test articles, collaborating with engineering teams on system improvements, and mentoring junior technicians. This role is based on site at our Austin, TX HQ Campus. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead setup, operation, and troubleshooting of mechanical, fluid, and electro-mechanical test systems. - Support development and implementation of ICON’s test infrastructure, including test stands, fluid systems, and processes. - Fabricate and integrate test articles and equipment: fluid panels, actuators, motors, gears, electrical cabinets, PLCs, and welded assemblies. - Collaborate with engineering to develop system upgrades, maintain documentation, and analyze test data with actionable recommendations. - Mentor and guide junior Product Test Technicians. - Travel to ICON job sites to support on-site testing, repair, and troubleshooting.
