Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: Days (United States of America) Patient Intake Representative – Inpatient Surgery – Lorain Hospital Shift/Schedule: - Full Time - Scheduled for 40 Weekly Hours (10 Hour Shifts) - Shift Times - Days/Afternoons (6:30am-5pm) - No Weekends or Holidays Job Summary: Processes of scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification. A thorough understanding of the health care revenue cycle, with excellent interpersonal skills, are necessary to achieve the positions over all objectives. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a level normally acquired through completion of high school education. - Demonstrates typing speed at 35-wpm necessary, accuracy is essential. - Familiarity with personal computers and prior registration experience in a hospital setting is preferred. - Strong communication and interpersonal skill, both verbal - and written. - Completion of medical terminology course is preferred.
