POSITION SUMMARY: As a Patient Care Technician on the Patient Telemonitoring unit, you’ll video monitor BMC patients who require an extra set of eyes and redirection for their safety. The most common patient-type you’ll serve are those with high-fall risk, elopement, as well as those who pull or detach lines and tubes. In this role you’ll leverage a platform, Avasure, to remotely monitor up to 24 patients. The system allows for two-way communication in multiple languages and a STAT alarm when a patient requires urgent assistance. Position: Patient Care Technician: Location: Virtual Safety Tech: Schedule: 36 Hours (Nights / Every Other Weekend) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform a variety of appropriately delegated patient care interventions for patients in the MedSurg department and their families. Clinical services could include, but are not limited to: obtaining vital signs, bathing and feeding, dressing wounds, assisting with hygiene, cleaning rooms and linens, and emotional support.
