South Jersey General Assignment Reporter, Inquirer Regional The Philadelphia Inquirer is hiring two general assignment reporters to cover South Jersey and play a central role as we grow our coverage in the region. We’re looking for well-rounded reporters who excel at breaking news and enterprise reporting, and are committed to understanding and responding to community news and information needs. You’ll cover suburban stories across South Jersey, with a special focus on Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties. We want applicants who excel at sourcing, are equally nimble writing news and features, and are open-minded about new story forms and aggregation. We’re looking for reporters who know how to listen closely, build trust, and tell us what people are talking about — day in and day out. The reporters will join a new Inquirer team, including a daily South Jersey newsletter editor, and will work closely with other beat reporters covering South Jersey on our politics, education, and features teams.
