Manufacturing Engineering Intern (On-site)

Job Description: The Engineering Intern will work closely with manufacturing process engineers to automate existing processes in our production and development lines at our Pomona site. The work will be focused on the development and implementation of 2-D vision systems with customized inspection software for in-line quality control, including hands-on assisted machine learning for image recognition. This position is part-time and on-site. Job Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS: ABILITIES: - Analyzing and manipulating images to teach machine learning models. - Assist with the design and testing of 2-D vision system inspection software. - Opportunity to assist with the design, fabrication and testing of customized fixturing for vision system optics and lighting. - Help analyze automated inspection results and refine acceptance criteria and inspection programs. - Work with 3rd party non-contact metrology vendors and perform proof-of-concept testing. - Opportunity to design experiments, analyze test data and write test protocols and reports. - Follows quality and safety protocols and maintains a clean working environment. - Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by Manager. - En...
