Job Title: Sheet Metal CNC Brake Technician Location: Newport News, VA Schedule: 1st or 3rd Shift (based on operational needs) Job Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire Pay: Up to $40.00/hour (based on relevant experience) Position Overview: We are actively seeking an experienced CNC Brake Technician to support precision sheet metal fabrication operations. This role focuses on programming, setting up, and running CNC press brake equipment to produce high-quality formed components. The ideal candidate has strong fabrication experience, understands tooling selection, and can maintain tight tolerances in a production environment. What You’ll Do: - Set up and break down press brake jobs, including loading programs, configuring tooling, and preparing machines for production - Program and operate CNC press brake equipment for forming light-gauge metal components - Interpret blueprints, bend allowances, and material specifications to ensure accuracy and repeatability - Select appropriate punches, dies, and tooling based on part requirements and material type - Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers - Verify machine calibration and perform in-p...
