Mechanical Development Engineer – Mechanical Integration

Job description

The Mechanical Development Engineer (MDE) – Mechanical Integration (Housings & Castings) is responsible for the design, development, integration, and release of housings, castings, and related mechanical integration components used within electric drive module and generator assemblies. The MDE works collaboratively with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver robust engineering solutions that meet performance, durability, cost, quality, and timing requirements. Key responsibilities: - Design, develop, and release housing, casting, and structural mechanical components. - Ensure effective mechanical integration across assemblies, including interfaces and tolerance management. - Perform engineering calculations related to structural integrity, vibration, fatigue, and thermal effects. - Create and maintain DFMEAs for assigned components and sub-systems. - Support CAE activities, validation testing, and prototype build events. - Developing engineering specifications for the product. - Creating prototype build/control plans, reviewing and approving prototype material for builds, and signing off mechanical hardware prototypes for usage in internal and external testing. - Create Ad...
