UH: Outpatient Surgery Center-- Full-Time, Day Shift Job Summary: The Administrative Charge Nurse-Perianesthesia Services assists the manager/director in providing clinical, administrative, financial and human resource management in a hospital-based outpatient surgery center. Demonstrates comprehensive specialized body of knowledge related to the specialty practice of perianesthesia services and electroconvulsive therapy in the outpatient environment. Utilizes discretion and independent judgment to manage and supervise a team of licensed and unlicensed staff who provide direct and indirect age-specific patient care for a diverse pediatric through adult outpatient population. Facilitates uninterrupted patient flow through the various stages of perianesthesia. Demonstrates flexibility and advanced critical thinking skills to direct shift operations based on substantial knowledge and compliance with the American Society of Perianesthesia Nursing (ASPAN), state and federal regulations, LLUH policies, procedures, guidelines, Plans for Provision of Care and Medical Staff Bylaws/Rules and Regulations.
