Description Summary: We are seeking a qualified veterinarian to fill open shifts at the Cornerstone Animal Center Animal Center in Visalia, CA. Interested professionals with proven surgical skills, a commitment to teamwork, a positive attitude for problem solving and communication, and the desire to learn and grow should apply. We are open to providing training to DVMs who are interested in improving their high quality, high volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) skills. Shifts are scheduled based on your availability. Essential Duties and Functions: Veterinary Medical Care - Assess animals pre- and post-operatively to ensure appropriate candidacy for surgery and healing - Perform 25-30+ high quality spay/neuter surgical procedures per day for client-owned and shelter animals, as well as community cats. - Diagnose and treat post-surgical medical complications of outpatient animals[CH1] as well as oversee vaccination clinic. - Follow and support all organizational and medical protocols - Adhere to aseptic/sterile techniques throughout surgical process - Must be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment - Collaborate with staff to ensure proper collection of data to m...
