Job description
The Housing Pathways Support Practitioner provides housing and homelessness support through early intervention, crisis response, and intensive case management for individuals and families with complex needs. The role involves holistic assessment, culturally informed planning, and advocacy to secure safe, affordable housing. Working within a trauma-informed, culturally safe framework, the Practitioner partners with Aboriginal communities to strengthen connections to culture and support positive housing outcomes, while also offering specialist advice to enhance broader service delivery. Organisational Profile: GEGAC is an Aboriginal: Community Controlled Organisation based in Bairnsdale Victoria. Consisting of about 200 staff, GEGAC is a Not-for-Profit organisation that delivers holistic services in the areas of Primary Health, Social Services, Elders & Disability and Early Childhood Education.
