We are seeking a dependable, compassionate individual to join our dining services team at the Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne. We currently have a full-time Line Cook opening. Our Cook prepares and serves meals in accordance with planned menus, resident dietary needs, and regulatory guidelines. This role ensures food is safe, properly portioned, and served attractively and on time. The Cook plays an important part in promoting resident health, comfort, and satisfaction Essential Job Functions: - Prepare and cook meals that align with physician-ordered diets, resident preferences, and facility menus. - Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency and nutritional standards. - Ensure all food is handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with Department of Health and food safety regulations. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food storage areas, and equipment. - Monitor food inventory and assist with receiving and storing deliveries. - Collaborate with dietary aides and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. - Maintain accurate food temperature logs and sanitation records as required. - Respond to resident dietary needs and requ...
