Job Description Mate, Minor Alliford Bay: The Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated Mate to serve as the ship’s Navigational Officer, supporting safe and efficient vessel operations while ensuring exceptional passenger service. The Role: As a Mate, you will work closely with the Master to oversee deck department activities, including vessel navigation, passenger and vehicle operations, crew management, and safety drills. Key Responsibilities: What you bring to the team You are a skilled mariner who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about safety, leadership, and customer care . This position requires a valid Watchkeeping Mate, Near Coastal or higher and a valid Seafarer’s Medical Certificate. - Standing watch on the bridge; navigating the vessel; checking all navigational equipment to ensure that is it all operational; Analyzing information and taking appropriate action; conveying vessel clearance procedures to the Master. - Supervising the loading and discharge of vehicles and foot passengers, securing the vessel for traffic movement, positioning ramps, maintaining trim and drafts, conducting dangerous cargo inspections, and assisting passengers with special need...
