Tumbling Instructor Department: Center Staff: Employment Type: Part Time: Location: Roxbury YMCA: Reporting To: Wyatt Marshall: Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 / hour Description: Position Summary: The Gymnastics/Tumbling Sports Instructor is responsible for leading safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate gymnastics and tumbling classes for youth participants. This individual will foster a supportive environment that encourages skill development, confidence, and fun, while ensuring safety and adherence to YMCA values. Key Responsibilities: Essential Responsibilities: - Instruct weekly gymnastics and/or tumbling classes for youth, ages 4–12 (or as designated). • Prepare and deliver structured lesson plans aligned with YMCA program standards. • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment by monitoring student behavior and reinforcing safety procedures at all times. • Maintain a clean and organized gym/activity space, ensuring equipment is properly used and stored. • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding progress, behavior, and class updates when appropriate. • Support YMCA programming by participating in special events, session transitions, and promotional activities when ne...
