Your Opportunity We are looking to expand our Northern California on-call archaeological team. Work will take place primarily in Northern California, but could include work throughout California, with potential opportunities in the Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. This is a fieldwork position and work need is heavily influenced by the seasonal weather. On occasion, there may be opportunity for office and/or lab-based work. Your Key Responsibilities: - Participate in identifying and recording areas of archeological potential, archaeological sites, and traditional use sites. - Work closely with a Field Director/Supervisor to make technical recommendations for cultural resources management. - Collect field data - Participate in field reconnaissance surveys (linear and block type) - Assist in archaeological impact assessments - Excavations - Construction Monitoring Your Capabilities and Credentials: Education and Experience Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
