Our Cardiology Medicine unit, Klarman 9 (KM 9), is staffed with safe, compassionate and engaged team members. You will become part of a team committed to high quality holistic nursing care which truly impacts the lives of many with cardiac disease. KM 9 specializes in caring for high acuity patients with cardiac disease, including heart failure, chest pain and arrhythmias, who may undergo specialized structural heart procedures and/or diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. As an RN in this department you will evaluate, plan, implement and document nursing care for an assigned cardiac medicine patient population. You will work collaboratively with the cardiac team members, fellow nursing staff and leadership to provide safe and effective care. You will promote the patient's independence by establishing patient care goals, educating patients and families about conditions and medications, as well as developing safe discharge plans.
