Job description

The Clinical Pharmacist shall perform clinical, distributive, super visional, and educational functions necessary to support the departmental functions. Furthermore, he/she use critical thinking skills and exercises independent decision-making as needed for the provision of safe and rational medication therapy. In addition, the Pharmacist works to uphold all department related policies and procedures with close attention to medication management duties dictated by the Joint Commission. Shift : Rotate: Required: Preferred: - Practices pharmacy in accordance with all applicable regulations and upholds pharmacy policy/procedures as appropriate - Establishes and maintains professional relationships with colleagues, physicians and other care providers. - Helps coordinate department operations and assures responsibility for professional development. - Establishes standards/norms for clinical practice/patient care and evaluates opportunities that improve patient outcomes. - Demonstrates independent leadership and professionalism with respect to the oversight of pharmacy technicians, pharmacy students, and pharmacy interns.
