Description Central Processing Technician is responsible for retrieving, cleaning, decontaminating, packaging, sterile processing and issuing of instruments processed throughout the hospital. Also included is picking cases and restocking CS supplies. Duties and Responsibilities: Follow Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management IAHSCMM exact and strict procedures for all areas of Central Processing. Reprocess clinical/surgical supplies for areas of the hospital. Reprocess supplies including: decontamination, instrument tray prep, packaging, wrapping, sterilization of instruments. Assist with maintaining inventory and putting away supplies in Central Processing. Maintain sterilizer logs and records: Requirements: Current Certified Registered Central Service Technician license or eligible to obtain within 12 months of hire Willingness and ability to demonstrate and maintain competency required for Central Processing Department Ability to communicate effectively through verbal communication and written communication.
