Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position: Patient Care Technician -General Medical Unit – Nights Location: Arlington Heights, IL: Full Time: 36 hours per week Hours: 7:00pm-7:30am, Every other weekend required Required Travel: No: What you will do: Assists patients with personal care needs including bathing, grooming, oral care, eating, use of bedpan or urinal, positioning, answering and responding to patient call lights, bed making, etc. under the supervision of a RN/LPN. Assists with exercising and ambulating patient; utilizes correct body mechanics while assisting with patient mobility; maintains physical safety and comfort of patient under supervision of a RN/LPN. Obtains patient vital signs, input and output checks, and accu-checks, and reports abnormalities to the nurse. As directed by RN/LPN performs procedures such as EKG’s, perineal care, emptying of foley bags, application of restraints, backrubs, etc. Collects specimens such as urine, feces, sputum, and delivers as necessary.
