Description This position is for a Medical Assistant willing and able to work in both the UCFS Norwich Health Center and the UCFS Griswold Health Center. UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! We are currently seeking a (40hr) Medical Assistant to assist the Primary Care provider with preparation of patients for examinations, perform assigned procedures, collect and document patient care information (vital signs, height, weight, hemoglobin, etc.) Will process information needed for WIC re-certification, DPH lead reports and other administrative functions as assigned. Maintain clinical area based on infection control standards and patient flow expectations. Position also maintains and sustains a line of communication with primary care clinicians and patients. Duties and Responsibilities: - Prepares the patient for examination: escorts patient to the room; obtains and records assessment information; performs screening tests/procedures; prepares specimens for transport.
