Major Repair Specialist

Job description

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to reduce outside maintenance costs through control of repair scope and labor/parts costs. The position allows improved uptime through increased visibility and active management of repair cycle times. The position removes work from the local Maintenance Supervisor through remote, centralized support of the entire process. Major Responsibilities: Qualifications: - 10 years mechanical/technical experience required- High School diploma or equivalent required- Tech school certification preferred- Strong customer service skills required- Must be computer literate- Negotiating skills required- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced call center environment- Consultative ability to translate repairs for first level repair specialists, other operational stakeholders- Ability to identify common failures and provide training to associates on the team on those failures- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include pas...
