Summer School Teacher

Job description

Summary/Objective: Provide an enriched atmosphere where students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their growth. Facilitate hands-on learning and guide students toward the fulfillment of their potential. To provide services to students with disabilities as defined in their Individualized Education Plan and work collaboratively with related services providers to ensure students receive an appropriate summer education. Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00 Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Dates of Summer Session: June 1, 2026 through July 31, 2026 Essential Functions: Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media, and uses instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting the developmental level of each student in the classroom. Collaborates with colleagues, DCS, Behavioral Health Assistants (BHA), and/or Behavioral Health Clinicians (BHC) on a regular basis regarding modifications and challenging behaviors.
