PLANT JOB TITLE Maintenance Helper: DEPARTMENT NAME Maintenance: Sex N/A CHARACTER OF WORK - EDUCATIONAL EQUIVALENT Able to read, write, add and subtract whole numbers, understand and follow instructions. Use simple fixed gauges and other instruments not requiring interpretation. MINIMUM TRAINING TIME 2 to 3 months WORKING CONDITIONS Battery Manufacturing: HEALTH AND ACCIDENT HAZARDS May crush hand or foot, fingers or toes, handling tools and materials. Falls from ladder or scaffolding, resulting in a lost time injury. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION: General Duties: Assist Maintenance Men in the performance of a variety of duties. Obtain tools, materials and supplies. Assist in moving equipment, tearing down and reassembling machines and equipment, oil and grease motors, machines, power hand and lift trucks and other equipment as directed or follow prescribed methods. Perform ordinary painting of walls, partitions, inside and outside window frames and trim; replace burned out light bulbs and fluorescent tubes, wash windows, replace broken...
