Description: Work Schedule: 90% FTE, evening/night shift. 3 - 12 hour shifts, 7:00pm - 7:30am with every third weekend rotation and holiday rotation. Hours are based off of the operational needs of the department. You will be working at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Be part of something remarkable: Come join Wisconsin's #1 Hospital!: We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: - Deliver specialized care for patients undergoing orthopedic surgeries, including spine procedures, hip surgeries, acute traumatic injuries, orthopedic oncology cases, and hardware removal. - Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to provide high‑acuity, resource‑intensive care tailored to complex orthopedic needs. - Support medical and surgical patients from additional service lines—particularly Neurosurgery—based on unit demand and patient needs. - Manage diverse admission pathways, including patients arriving from the emergency department, outside‑hospital direct admissions, PACU, and transfers from other inpatient units.
