Infection Preventionist - RN Status: Full Time: Shift: Monday-Friday, days (this position shares weekend on-call rotation with other nurse managers) Wage: $51.00 - $61.00 hourly DOE Location: Avamere Rehabilitation of Issaquah - 805 Front Street S, Issaquah WA 98027 Apply at Teamavamere.com: Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities: Surveillance and Outbreak Management: - Actively monitor infection trends by collecting and analyzing data on healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). - Investigate suspected outbreaks of infectious diseases, including rapid response to potential cases. - Implement appropriate control measures to contain outbreaks, such as isolation and cohorting procedures. Staff Education and Training: - Provide ongoing infection prevention training for all staff members, including direct care staff, nurses, and administrative personnel. - Conduct in-service programs on proper hand hygiene, PPE usage, standard precautions, and transmission-based precautions. - Assess staff competency related to infection control practices.
