Job description

Description Summary: To directly supervise their cabin group, encourage campers to participate in all activities, and guide the campers throughout their stay at camp with attention to safety at all times. Responsibilities: - Plan and implement daily activities with your group. - Communicate and work with a cabin group and provide necessary instructions to campers. - Observe camper behaviors, assess appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior management techniques. - Plan, conduct, and teach activities to campers. - Guide individual campers in participating successfully in all aspects of camp activities. - Administer necessary medications per camp nurse instruction at appropriate times. - Carry out established roles in enforcing camp safety regulations. - Develop daily activities with, not for, the campers. - Communicate plans and needs to Unit Leader. - Supervise all aspects of the camper’s day, including flag raising, cabin clean-up, meal times, swim time, evening activities, overnights, getting ready for bed, etc. - Physical ability to participate in all camp activities (i.e., hiking, swimming, ropes course, etc...
