SHEETMETAL ESTIMATOR

Job description

Position Summary: Responsible for estimation and takeoffs of sheet metal jobs. The individual should have a good understanding of all aspects of mechanical contracting and be able to communicate effectively with contractors, designers, owners and job-site personnel, representing TP Mechanical Contractors in a professional manner. Overall responsibility will be to manage the estimating team for the region and to assist in other regions when requested. Responsibilities and Duties: - Job takeoffs and pricing. - Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers. - Stays current with all estimating software and attends training as needed and/or required. - Works with VP of Estimating as needed on Estimating database development and maintenance. - Works with VP of Estimating to develop estimating spreadsheets. - Works with VP of Estimating to ensure smooth and timely project turnover from Estimating to Project Management. - Ability to work with vendors and subs to secure scopes and final pricing including but not limited to calling and or meeting with them to discuss their scope of work. - Ability to clearly write scope letter. - Ability to lead and finalize job estimates. - All other duti...
