Gloucester, Virginia: *Please pay close attention to the qualification of this job Qualifications: Education: - High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred) Experience: - 1 year Prior health care experience in hospital setting (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications: - CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required) - Required to be ONE of the following : (1) licensed or eligible by the State of Virginia as a C.N.A., or (2) EMT-B, or (3) have completed a Medical Assistant program/certification, or (4) currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with 80 hours completed. Overview: Works under the supervision of Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager/Director in personal care of the patients and their environment (including those needing special precautions) and performs specified functions in tasks where there is validated competency including: simple wound care (i.e. cleaning of abrasions/laceration), EKGs, peripheral INT removal, basic phlebotomy, and extremity splinting.
