Power Generation Mechanical Engineer

Job description

We are seeking an experienced PE licensed Mechanical Engineer to join our Power Generation team and serve as a technical lead on key projects. In this role, you will provide engineering leadership and oversight for the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems within power generation facilities, with a strong focus on combined‑cycle operations. Job Responsibilities: - Serve as the lead mechanical engineer for power‑generation and combined‑cycle projects, providing technical direction and oversight throughout the project lifecycle. - Develop, review, and optimize mechanical system designs - Perform engineering analyses, troubleshooting, and root‑cause evaluations - Coordinate with cross‑functional teams—including operations, electrical/I&C engineering, project management, and external partners—to ensure successful project execution. - Prepare and review engineering specifications, technical reports, and equipment evaluations - Continues to learn and develop knowledge and skills in departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes, and Commonwealth Associates policies and procedures.
