Description The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, is seeking a full-time faculty member at any rank to join an established group of nationally known physicians and surgeons in the Cardiac Arrhythmia Center (Electrophysiology) within the Heart and Vascular Center. The appointee will have clinical responsibilities predominantly at our main campus in Hyde Park and, if needed, at affiliated off-sites. Clinical responsibilities include performing cardiac electrophysiology procedures and doing outpatient cardiology clinic, inpatient service, and consultation. Additionally, the Associate Director will assist the Director of Electrophysiology in creating a strategy for growth of the cardiac electrophysiology subsection. They will also work with the Director to oversee the day-to-day management of the cardiac electrophysiology labs and the outpatient and inpatient cardiac electrophysiology services. The appointee will work to grow the research footprint of the subsection by increasing participation and enrolment in clinical trials, as well as close interaction with the basic scientists involved in cardiac EP research.
