National Spine and Pain Centers is seeking a Per Diem Surgical First Assist to join our team of highly trained, caring professionals at our surgery center located in Winter Park, FL . - Schedule: as needed, Mondays - Hours: Dayshift, flexible hours - Pain management and spine experience highly preferred. IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL: - This is a dual role, CST, and First Assist responsibilities . This candidate will assist the physician during the surgical case as a CST and assist with wound closure as a First Assist. - Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures with a high degree of efficiency, anticipating the surgeon’s and patient’s needs during the case - Ensure the availability of adequate supplies, equipment and instruments for scheduled cases and assist in opening cases in a sterile manner - Utilize physician preference cards to set up each case; updating cards when indicated - Assist with patient positioning, skin prep, and draping - Ensure accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts are completed when indicated EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS: - Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program and completion of Certified Surgical Assisting Program - Cert...
