Job Description Summary Surgical Observation Unit is a 21-bed unit that cares for Phase 2 and post-op patients from the Main PACU and OR. These patients are med-surg level of care for surgeries including Orthopedic, Gynecology, Urology and Endocrinology. Each will plan to discharge same day or within 23 hours post-op. Nurses are responsible for Phase 2 anesthesia recoveries and surgery specific care to include surgery specific discharge instructions.
