This person will work directly with the Oncology Genetics Counseling Clinic. If you're compassionate, eager to learn and have great time management skills, we would love to meet you! Job Summary: The PSR provides specialized support to the Oncology Genetic Counseling clinic. This position supplies administrative and scheduling support to the Genetic Counselor. This position is supervised by the Manager of University Surgical Oncology at UT Medical Center Cancer Institute. What You’ll Do: As a key member of our care team, you’ll work side-by-side with the Genetic Counselor to ensure a smooth and supportive experience for every patient. Your responsibilities will include: - Scheduling patient appointments. Triage appointments based on treatment decisions (surgery or systemic therapy options). - Serve as a primary point of contact for patients regarding financial aspects of care, including insurance coverage, benefits, and out-of-pocket costs. - Mailing results and/or result letters to patients. - Contacting laboratories to ob...
