Quality Control Technician

Job description

What you will do: Collect plant samples at specified times and perform required laboratory testing, including size analysis, XRF/XRD, moisture, LOI, and free lime, with accurate entry of results into the laboratory database. Perform additional or unscheduled testing as needed and communicate out-of-spec or unusual results to supervisors and control room operators to support quality standards. Operate laboratory equipment, including compression machines, assist in the Physical Test Lab, perform calculations, and provide clear documentation and data communication. Learn and operate the Prolab system, including startup, shutdown, and basic troubleshooting. Maintain a safe, clean work environment by following plant policies, MSHA regulations, and all safety, environmental, and emergency procedures. Ensure work meets department standards, support continuous improvement efforts, troubleshoot causes, and work flexible schedules and locations as directed by plant supervision.
