Job description

Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server installation, configuration, performance tuning, and high availability solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience deploying SQL Server in virtualized environments, designing server specifications, and maintaining secure, highly available, and optimized database systems. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and upgrade Microsoft SQL Server instances across development, test, and production environments - Design and implement SQL Server Availability Groups and other high-availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions - Develop server hardware and infrastructure specifications for SQL workloads (CPU, memory, storage, IOPS planning) - Deploy and manage SQL Server in virtualized environments - Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize SQL performance in VMware environments (VMware experience a plus) - Design, implement, monitor, and test database backup and recovery strategies - Perform regular database maintenance (index maintenance, integrity checks, patching, upgrades) - Monitor and optimize database and query performance - Troublesho...
