Role: Test Engineer - Personal Safety Team (PPE) Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire: Salary: upto £32,000 plus benefits: Are you an engineer with a mechanical background? Do you want a role where you'll be able to interact with people, as well as machinery? BSI has a fantastic opportunity for a Test Engineer to join us at our Hemel Hempstead labs, working within our PPE testing team. Our Personal Safety Team works primarily with PPE, with three key areas - Latex, Headwear and Eyewear. You'll test a variety of products, from condoms, to equestrian helmets to safety goggles to ensure that they conform to required safety and quality standards. You'll need to be able to operate the machinery (including the ability to resolve day to day maintenance issues) record detailed testing results and also liaise with clients to advise the outcome of their product testing.
