Position: Apprentice Lift Mechanic Reports to: VP Operations, Mountain Manager, Lead Hand Employment: Full Time Job Description: Apprentice Lift Mechanics are primarily responsible for assisting in the repair and maintenance of ski lifts. They also assist in daily operations in conjunction with the Lift Operations crew. They may also be called upon to assist in any other maintenance or repairs that fall within the scope of their skill set Position Requirements/Skills: - Good communications skills, self-motivated, mature, dependable, timely and able to work well with others - Willing and able to work in all weather conditions - Mechanical aptitude - Ability to work at heights - Valid Class 5 Driver’s License - Ability to operate snowmobiles, snowcats, heavy equipment and trucks in a safe and responsible manner (training provided) - Good working knowledge of current WorksafeBC regulations - Able to work overtime if required - Have a high level of attention of detail Working towards: - Completing apprenticeship - Lift 151, 152, 153 courses - Familiar with the CSA Z-98 code - Operators certificates for forklifts - Gaining knowledge in: hydraulic, hydrostatic and low voltage systems - G...
