Accounting software hasn’t fundamentally changed in decades. The tools professional accountants rely on were built for a world of manual entry, static reporting, and single-client workflows. We think that’s broken and we’re fixing it. Puzzle rebuilt the general ledger from the ground up for how modern accounting firms actually operate: high-volume, multi-client, real-time, API-connected. We’re building financial infrastructure that professionals can trust, and then extending it with automation, reporting, and intelligent workflows that meaningfully change how firms operate. Now we’re looking for a Software Engineering Manager who can both lead and build. This is not a “hands-off” management role. We want someone close to the code, someone who can dive into architecture discussions, review complex PRs, unblock engineers technically, and contribute directly when needed. The exact coding-to-management ratio may evolve based on your strengths and the team’s needs, but technical credibility is non-negotiable.
