Job description

The Internal Medicine Physician (Endocrinologist) will diagnose, treat, and manage disorders of the endocrine system, which include the thyroid, pancreas, adrenal glands, pituitary and hypothalamus. Provides quality, comprehensive health care services to the Center’s endocrinology patients. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Diagnoses and treats endocrine conditions by documenting patients medical histories, conducting physical examinations of patients, educating patients and ordering or performing diagnostic tests. Diagnoses hormonal and metabolic disorders such as diabetes, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, adrenal disorders, osteoporosis, and infertility. 2. Conducts consultations with patients referred by other physicians to assess symptoms and medical history. Performs comprehensive physical exams and orders diagnostic tests, including blood, urine, and imaging studies. 3. Maintains a problem-oriented health record for each patient seen in accordance with the Center’s established Health Information Management policies and procedures to include providing appropriate and legible documentation.
