Description About Us. The University of Virginia is seeking innovative and collaborative applicants to join the Contagion Science Program. This unique and novel research program is a prestigious strategic research initiative funded by the University through its Prominence-to-Preeminence STEM Targeted Initiatives Fund . The Biocomplexity Institute serves as the program’s organizing unit with a broad and comprehensive partnership of the University of Virginia Schools of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS), Data Science (SDS), Medicine (SOM), and the College of Arts & Sciences (A&S). This initiative is designed to foster pan-university leadership and excellence in contagion science research and education.
