MEPPI’s Switchgear Division (SWGD) is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Technician I – Pole Assembly to support the mechanical assembly of switchgear products. In this role, you will assemble components, support product preparation for electrical assembly and shipment, and ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout the manufacturing process. What You’ll Do: Perform Mechanical Assembly : Assemble frames, bushings, and sub-assemblies for circuit breakers, parts orders, and related products in accordance with company specifications, drawings, and work orders. Prepare Products for Shipment : Perform “ship-prep” activities, including applying RTV sealant, touching up paint, wrapping breakers, bushings, cabinets, and packaging products for shipment. Use Tools Safely & Effectively : Operate a variety of hand and power tools correctly and safely to assemble components and products. Read & Interpret Technical Documentation : Read and understand mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and bills of material (BOMs) to ensure accurate assembly.
