DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Manages all special investigation claims activity for all lines of business. - Determines policy and procedure for auto/property claims handling to ensure a high level of service and claims quality for all lines. - Determines staffing requirements within area of responsibility and recommends organization changes to improve results. - Responsible for setting and meeting departmental goals for SIU and Property Subrogation to have a positive impact on production, cycle time, customer service and claims file quality. - Actively recruits, selects and develops SIU. - Prepares SIU performance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. - Responsible for hiring, training, development, coaching, and disciplining employees. - Assure quality responses and response times. - Lead comprehensive subrogation investigations for property claims, ensuring thorough analysis of recovery opportunities.
