Employment Type: Part time Shift: Weekend Shift Description: Job Description Summary St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our team! Schedule: Every Other Weekends Night.. May have additional opportunities to pick up weekdays. Responsible for the collection of blood samples from inpatients in a timely manner and delivery to the lab for testing. Working with computers and centrifuge as well as instrument lines for processing blood samples. Position requires an experienced, highly-skilled technician who can work with a minimum of supervision. Must be responsible, reliable, dedicated and focused on their duties for prompt and efficient patient care. Properly identifies out patients by verbal confirmation and positive identification system. Properly identifies and labels patients specimens for Blood Bank testing using the positive patient identification system. Properly identifies patients and adequately performs venipunctures and/or skin punctures.
