Job Description The Zendesk Deploy team is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer who is motivated to improve deployment tools and infrastructure that allow over 1,000 engineers to deliver code quickly, safely, and reliably. Our Mission: At Zendesk, we simplify and improve deployment processes so that any engineering team can release software smoothly and confidently. We aim to build easy-to-use tools and clear standards that make deploying code simple and reliable. We also use AI tools extensively to help automate workflows, improve monitoring, and enhance system reliability. What you’ll be doing: Build and maintain deployment infrastructure and internal tools supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines. Work closely with engineering teams around the world to define deployment practices and help roll out new deployment patterns. Develop and manage Kubernetes-based deployment automation and platforms. Ensure reliability by monitoring systems, responding to incidents, and maintaining runbooks and documentation.
