Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Med Technologist for our Core Lab. As a Med Technologist at MercyOne, you will act as technical information resource for MercyOne Des Moines Laboratory. Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance and/or results and uses knowledge, critical thinking skills, and judgment to troubleshoot and resolve them. May be assigned to assume the duties of a charge technologist. Performs tasks and procedures specific to assigned department with minimal supervision. Uses educational and technical expertise to troubl e shoot issues related to specimen quality, instrument/method performance and analytical interferences to ensure patient results match clinical status. Assists and supports quality management systems and performance improvement initiatives . Works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and records. Maintains supply inventories.
