Independent compilations of profit and loss figures allow for a transparent and save business environment ensuring accurate financial reporting. Front to back reconciliations of positions, cash accounts and profit and loss statements ensure data integrity across systems; parameter checks ensure proper and consistent valuations. Product Control collaborates closely with Trading, Middle Office, Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Model Validation, Market Risk and Risk Governance to ensure the soundness and suitability of balance sheet risk management and solidity of trading’s financial result in Julius Baer. Within the DCFO Products & Balance Sheet department, Product Control (PC) assures daily operations in terms of profit and loss substantiation and reporting, Front to back reconciliation, reconciliation with financial accounting and price testing for all trading activities...
