Job description

The Steelwork Field Engineer is a matrixed contributor to the wider EMEA Steelwork Operations Team. Responsible for the correct technical development of the "steelwork" part of a project in EMEA. Providing technical advice and support to the project team in the design and implementation phases but will be principally be active in all aspects of the execution stage. The Steelwork Field Engineer manages internal and external layout engineers monitoring the consideration, development and implementation of the quality of steel structures supplied and erected for Dematic. The Steelwork Field Engineer is analytical, cost-conscious and results-oriented, maintaining regular contact with the internal stakeholders (Solutions Development and/ or Engineering & Procurement) and other external stakeholders. The role primary function is to co-ordinate and lead a site team who accurately report on the safe and efficient execution of the steelwork part of the installation scope (at the point of work) for which it is their responsibility as directed by the Site Manager and Project Management.
