Job description

Under the direction of the CLMS Director, this position oversees the operations of consumer collections and recovery and is responsible for enhancing and proactively managing the operations, consumer collection, mortgage collection, loss mitigation and recovery programs. This position is also responsible for overseeing the independent monitoring, directing and enforcing of all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance policies and procedures across the division. The Assistant Director is also responsible for consulting with senior managers across the bank to ensure appropriate collection and recovery strategies are developed and implemented to maximize product profitability (low delinquency and high recovery rates) while respecting all borrowers and closely following the bank’s culture. As a Bank of Hawaii employee, you ensure (or assist with ensuring) compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
