Overview In support of the mission, vision and values of Kennedy Krieger Institute, the Rehabilitation Aide/Transporter will transfer and transport patients and provide patient care under direct supervision of a clinician within the policies and procedures of both the Institute and the departmental program, and in accordance with laws and regulations of the state of Maryland. This position will assist clinical staff in the provision of patient care programs and perform supportive tasks, including those serving the administrative, maintenance, and operational needs of the program. Responsibilities: - Prepare, maintain, and clean patient treatment areas before & after treatment sessions. Adhere to Kennedy Krieger Institute policies regarding patient & staff safety, hygiene, patient privacy, and patient-specific and standard precautions. - Assist in the practice of therapeutic exercise & functional activities programs under direct supervision of a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), Occupational Therapist, or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) per Maryland state law. - Demonstrate appropriate application and removal of electrodes and orthotic devices, as...
