Department: Plant Services Schedule/Status: Varies; Full Time: Standard Hours/Week: 40: General Description: Under the direct supervision of the Plant Operations Manager, the Plumber installs repairs and replaces pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain the boiler water, gas and drainage systems. Requirements: - Has knowledge of the plumbing systems at PMC facilities. Has the ability to read blueprints of plumbing systems. Has knowledge of shut off valves through the facilities. Is the point of contact for all plumbing vendors conducting work at PMC facilities. - Has the knowledge and ability to use the required tools to complete assigned tasks safely. Has the knowledge of using the correct tool for the job. Acquire/returns tools to the correct locations in good operating condition. - Observes good housekeeping practices. Cleans up work area after each task. Keeps work area, shop and vehicles neat and organized. - Provides and consistently gives cooperative and courteous service to visitors, patients, staff, vendors and co-workers as part of the organization’s commitment to quality services.
